Could The "Las Vegas Public Radio" Brand As An Independent Public Broadcaster Even Be Restored In This Current Environment Of NPR & PBS Grift (Swindling & Government Censorship)?; Magic FM Could Take It's Place On The Dial But Not Where You Would Expect And Heard On Portsonic Radio Devices

LAS VEGAS (LVPR) - In the current polarized environment with crooked government agencies having been transitioned with socialist and communism practices, could the "Las Vegas Public Radio" brand as an independent public broadcaster even be restored in this current environment of NPR & PBS grift (swindling & government censorship)? It took them 50+ years to transition America away from a Republic. Enter the segway to Magic FM. That's right, Magic FM could actually take the place of the "Las Vegas Public Radio" brand on terrestrial FM radio.

Let's deep dive into the former Las Vegas Public Radio/PBS Affiliate and KIOF President & CEO's unilateral application filing for a Corporation For Public Broadcasting (CPB) FY26 Radio Community Service Grant (Radio CSG) to try and restore the former independent public broadcaster for southern Nevada. This shows the $5.288 Million grant could actually be a segway point to Magic FM entirely due to the fact that the $1.1 Billion rescission in public broadcasting industry funding is being wiped away for FY26 & FY27 including the clawbacks of FY24 & FY25 public broadcasting funds that were allocated to NPR & PBS.

So tell us about Magic FM. What happens with a $5.288 Million grant made from a private government entity that says it's not part of the federal government that it takes federal tax payer dollars from the American tax payers with no accountability to it's actions? Is it operating in it's own socialist and communist sovereign boundaries established back in 1967 inside the 10 square mile area of the District of Crooks self-serving for select organizations and special interests swamp? With the current state of things, we can see it now being routed to the Department of Commerce ahead of the final $1.1 Billion rescission of public broadcasting industry funding. Basically, it works like this - the remaining FY26 grant applications made to the Corporation for Public Broadcasting (CPB) after President Trump's Executive Order issued on May 1, 2025 for "Ending Taxpayer Subidization of Biased Media" and the recent passing of H.R.1 - One Big Beautiful Bill Act which was signed into law on July 4, 2025 could lead to those applications being processed in a separate pool of funding.

That pool would trasfer the FY26 Radio Community Service Grant (Radio CSG) applications over to a one time pay-out as budgets are being removed by the Office of Management and Budget ahead of Washington, D.C. being federalized as President Trump announced to the nation. Those applications would be converted as base infrastructure grants and moved over to the Department of Commerce for processing on Pages 201 and 202 of the Telecommunications Act of 1934 in the following section: SEC. 393. [47 U.S.C. 393] CRITERIA FOR APPROVAL AND EXPENDITURES BY SECRETARY OF COMMERCE. (c) Of the sums appropriated pursuant to section 391 for any fiscal year, a substantial amount shall be available for the expansion and development of noncommercial radio broadcast station facilities.

Those applications would be processed against the $60 million connectivity pool also stripped from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting so broadcasters can fingure out their next steps. Magic FM could take it's place on the dial and integrated with the Las Vegas Public Radio Interactive Public Radio Service (IPRS) on Portsonic Radio devices as the stations get hooked into the next generation of the Emergency Alert System (EAS).

A new public broadcasting industry is born for the next generation of FM radio inside the Internet of Things (IoT) model.
