Shortly after the Recissions Act of 2025, donations still being received in 2025 for the former Las Vegas Public Radio Inc./KIOF were processed and returned back to the respective donor by the Las Vegas Public Radio division at Portsonic Communications, LLC (Nevada).

Donations to the former Las Vegas Public Radio Inc./KIOF are still being received in 2026. Donations are being held in abeyance and will be processed pending any re-build of the former organzation as a non-commercial public broadcaster following the events of COVID-19, the Recissions Act of 2025 and the closure of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting back in January. We ask current and former donors to the former and original Las Vegas Public Radio Inc./KIOF to please delay/pause sending in donations at this time.

Please check back periodically to this website on the status of the former non-commercial public broadcaster until it can be further determined if it will be returning back to southern Nevada airwaves serving the tri-state area in it's original form or combined/hybridized with another innovative form as a special edition/nostalgic public broadcaster (kind of like how the Commodore 64 Ultimate is being released here in March 2026, circa 1982-2026 type stuff bringing back the old Commodore 64 from 1982). The Las Vegas Public Radio brand could soon be operating under a new broadcast model (i.e. Internet of Things (IoT) commercial underwriting on the upcoming Portsonic Radio devices) here in the Las Vegas Public Radio division at Portsonic Communications, LLC (Nevada) due to these extraordinary events.
